The Park County Habitat for Humanity is bringing its first modular home to the Mountain Spirit Subdivision. Habitat for Humanity has “26” lots in the subdivision and this new modular home represents the 16th project underway for completion.

The Gifford family is set to receive the home and, if everything goes according to schedule, they should be able to move in before the holidays this year.

Executive Director of Mountain Spirit Habitat for Humanity, Nikki Hoellwarth, had this to say about the home, “with the skyrocketing cost of construction and materials, modular homes are easy, and most importantly, affordable.”

The home will be located at 2801 New Hope Drive where crews will start working to assemble the pieces and a portion of this work will be done by volunteers for the organization.

Construction of these homes is made possible in conjunction with the Neighborhood Revitalization Program, which helps owner-occupant home buyers purchase and renovate homes.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Habitat for Humanity believes affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
