• Camping gear and lawn equipment were stolen out of a shed in the 800 block of North Pearl Street shortly before 9:50 a.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• A reported burglary in the 400 block of North Oak Street that was reported shortly after 12:10 p.m. on July 27 is under investigation.

• A burglary to a residence in the 1100 block of Long Road was reported shortly after 11:05 a.m. on July 28. It’s unknown what items were taken and no arrests were made

• A person reported a burglary in the 700 block of North Pearl Street at 5:15 p.m. on July 28. There is no information on the suspects and no arrests were made.

• A man stole lighters from a grocery store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue shortly before 10 a.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen in the 3700 block of Northpark Drive around 12:35 p.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• An employee from a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road was referred for stealing shortly before 2:30 p.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• At around 6:20 p.m. on July 27, a shoe outlet in the 100 block of West High Street reported a theft of over $4,000 in merchandise had taken place over the course of the past week. No arrests were made.

• A 36-year-old from Longview was arrested for retail theft after stealing from multiple outlet stores in the 1300 block of Lum Road shortly after 6:40 p.m. on July 27.

• A 41-year-old and a 44-year-old from Rochester were cited for shoplifting in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue shortly after 6:20 p.m. on July 28.

• An assault between a male and a female in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue reported at around 3:30 p.m. on July 28 is under investigation. No arrests were made.

• A two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of West Magnolia Street and North Pearl Street at around 3:35 p.m. on July 28. No arrests were made.

• A gray 2016 Chevrolet pickup with the Oregon license plate 401LLU was reported stolen from a motel parking lot in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at 5:50 a.m. on July 29. The owner advised there were two golden lab/retriever dogs inside their crates in the back of the truck box area. The truck was set up to transport dogs and has a stainless steel box with a black vent on top. No arrests were made.

• A person called to report someone had attempted to steal railroad ties in the 1100 block of Southwest Sylvenus Street at around 2:40 p.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

• A caller reported a person was parked in front of an outlet store in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue with five dogs locked up in a crate on the bed of the truck at around 4 p.m. on July 26. The responding officer noted the dogs did not appear to be in distress and the cage was secured to the vehicle. No arrests were made.

• A man was reportedly yelling at employees in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

• A woman called to report her son, who had a warrant out for his arrest for a convenience store robbery, was on his way to her house in the 100 block of Southwest William Avenue at around 4:10 a.m. on July 27. A person was arrested and booked.

• A juvenile in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street reportedly broke a bedroom door at around 4:50 a.m. on July 27 because he was mad his friends were arrested.

• A death investigation took place in the 200 block of Northeast Washington Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• A woman called to report she returned to her home in the 600 block of Southeast Prospect Street to find a younger male in her garage who said he was offering some type of extermination service at 12:35 p.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• A possible trespassing incident was reported in the 100 block of Southwest 12th Street shortly after 12:10 p.m. on July 28. No arrests were made.

• A child called to report an 11-year-old stole her cat while she was inside of a property in the 100 block of Southwest Williams Avenue at around 8:35 p.m. on July 26. The cat was later recovered by the reporting party. No arrests were made.

• The theft of a dress and some electronics were reported in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at around 4:35 p.m. on July 26. The reporting party stated they did not want to press charges and asked the person to be trespassed from the location. No arrests were made.

• The theft of gasoline and a battery was reported from a food truck in the 200 block of Southwest Riverside Drive shortly before 2:50 p.m. on July 27. No arrests were made.

• A theft reportedly occurred in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue shortly before 7:20 p.m. on July 28. The person reportedly took a cooler and a portable heater. No arrests were made.

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue shortly before 1:55 p.m. on July 28.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. on July 28. No arrests were made.

• An accident that resulted in injuries was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at around 8:05 p.m. on July 28. No arrests were made.

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 150 inmates, including 132 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 103 were reported male and 29 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 15 were reported male and three were reported female.
