Taking its cues from the distinctive Central Asian dwellings, this home-away-from-home has a large central skylight to let in lashings of natural light. Sporting a blue and white patterned exterior, the self-contained accommodation is just as magical as the forest enveloping it. Complete with a separate bathroom and camp kitchen, it features a luxurious bed and fireplace to chilly winter nights. There’s even an outdoor shower with a clear roof for showering under the stars—does it get any better? Coupled with the best backyard ever—a rainforest and private creek—this is being one with nature done right. 

Located on Springbrook Mountain, the yurt is surrounded by many walking tracks, lookouts and even waterfalls. Just a short walk away is Springbrook’s local food hangouts like Dancing Waters Cafe, and a few minutes by car will get you to Purling Brook Falls, a must-see during your visit. So, while the Airbnb feels utterly secluded in its location, there is still plenty to do during your stay. 

And after a long day of adventuring, you can cosy up by the outdoor fire pit to help you defrost before whipping up a feast on the BBQ or gas cooktop. Or, just take a seat on the covered patio looking out at the surrounding rainforest and Springbrook wildlife.
